Trillian is Awsome for Instant Messaging With All Message Services

July 8, 2008 by Jacqui Best 2 Comments

Ok so I have AIM and ICQ and Yahoo Messenger, which if you have to use multiple messaging services you, know how annoying this can be. First of all nothing personal against the three, it is just that who wants all those services running all the time. As time has gone on I have wanted to condense them, so I started looking around for a good solution. I soon stumbled upon Trillian, what a great piece of software. I have all of my messaging set up in it. It was able to easily import all of my contacts from each service. I don’t seem to get as many of the funky pop-ups I was getting with Yahoo. They offer both a free version and a professional version. Right now, the free version is all I need but I am thinking about getting the pro version. If anyone has this let me know what you think about it? Oh yeah, another totally cool thing about it is you can check the respective email address with it. So now I can just look in there to get my yahoo mail. I have wanted to dump that email address for years, but I have had it forever. So it is cool cause now I don’t have to make a special trip to check it.

Trillian is okay… but I prefer Pidgin. It does alot more than Trillian… it supports everything Trillion does, plus Sametime (which I need for work), MySpaceIM, Google Talk, and more. And Pidgin is also free!
