I would have to say that on a daily basis I get about 50 emails asking different questions about MySpace Mobster. A lot of the time these are the same question so I wanted to make a post to point people too and also so people have a place to post their questions.

Q. How do I grow my mob?

A. There is a lot of answers to this question but the easiest way I have found to cause some growth is to invite people to your mob with a lot of mobsters already, they will usually have a Myspace Friends Category that they will add you too. Once in that category you can see all the friends they have that also play mobster and are more than likely looking for more friend invites.

MySpace Mobster How People Are Adding Without Friends Invite

Ok so hear is the scuttle butt on the whole.. how are people adding you to mobsters that are not your friends. There is a utility out there (hmm utility is not a good word.. HACK would be the right word) which allows you to auto bank your cash at night, auto attack around the clock, and it will even allow you to attack when you are attacked. It also will add everyone that is on the “fight” list every five minutes to you mob. Now here is the issue with this, it is considered cheating by mobster and MySpace and is causing accounts to be banned.  I have found from various sites about people freaked out because they have lost their MySpace account. Fact is people we all want to have the best mob and make the infamous “made men” list, but we all need to do it the way Mobster intended us to do it, invite people to your friends then invite them to your mob through the app. They do not want us circumventing the rules, or their code. (NOTE: I have not included the name of app because it is considered CHEATING and WILL get you BANNED from MySpace.) On another note I KNOW I must have some of these cheaters on my mob, it is hard to keep track at this point, and it seems to have no adverse affect thus far. Ohh yeah one other thing, this app requires PAYMENT from your paypal account as well as your MySpace login info, that cannot be good, the reason being that if this person took the time to write a CHEAT for a game then they are unscrupulous anyway and do you really want them having your MySpace log in info?

Myspace Mobster Mob Wide Bulletins Getting WICKED Irritating

Here is the deal people, I do care whatcha have to say but I also care about who attacked me, who punched me, and who put a hit on me. When we post all those bulletins straight to the Mobster API then a lot of the other things we want to know from that window are getting bumped off. I think the best thing that could be done would be for the coder of the plug in to separate it out. They should put bulletins in one window, attacks in another window, and mobsters who have been added in another. That would solve the problem of people getting frustrated about all the bulletins causing their damage to fall off. I think they should also remove it from posting a bulletin to our MySpace area personally that way we can go into Mobsters and see all the stuff to do with mobsters. I missed the birth of a friend’s baby with all the bulletins LOL. I have met a lot of new great friend because of Mobster, but on the other side some of the people on my friends are just other mobsters I don’t have contact with, I mean really how the hell I would talk to 700 people. So it would be nice if I could keep the “myspace” stuff separate from the “mobster” stuff. Let me know if you think I am wrong, also I know people in the know read this blog so post if you can think of anything else to improve.

Ok, so I had a very STRONG opinon of the mobsteradd.com on the other side, I have to say the guys doing the site are way cool, and I am sure thier intetion was not to cause stalker, crazy situations. They had a very good idea, it is unfortunate people want to abuse what should have been a fun way to add other mobsters to your mob!

Myspace Mobster How To Find Out Who Attacked You

Ok so you log into you Myspace Mobster profile and find that someone has been attacking you all day, man that sucks right? On the other side I find this to be the beauty of it. You can go and attack people with, for the most part total anonymity that is of course until NOW. I log into Myspace today to find that I have a message from another Mobster, thanking me for attacking him. WTF? How the hell does he know who I am, well I click on the message and there is a link to this new site, telling you how to get to the mobster personal Myspace. This was a little disturbing to me, I mean now it goes from a weird game to some strange stacker scenario. Yeah the part that you can add people you think are cool might be nice, except I am not sure how that works since only time you would really see them is to attack them or to be attacked by them. The whole idea and fun for me of Mobster is to get in there spend a few minutes attacking people spending my cash, boosting my mob and then I go about my REAL life. It is a nice escape, but I don’t need PERSONAL messages from this people on my Myspace in my PERSONAL inbox trashing me because I attacked them in a game you’re SUPPOSED to attack people in.  I say we all BOYCOTT http://www.mobsteradd.com/ tell them to SUCK IT!

MySpace Mobster, How to Win Fights All The Time

Lately as I have added more and more of my mobster friends I have been getting questions on how it works and how to win fights. I thought it would be a good idea to really explain how it works the way I understand it. First of all, you don’t really get to “interact” with your mob members except for talking to them in bulletins and MySpace messages. You can’t hand them weapons to their actually Mobster stats. All growing you mob really does is allow you to be able to win more fights by being able to use more of the equipment you purchase. So here is how it works, I will use my own mob for this example.

First you need to understand that for every member of your mob (that number next to mob up at the top) you can use one vehicle, one body armor, and one weapon. Now if you do not have at least one weapon per mob member then that mob member is using their fist which means that a crowbar can kick their ass. It is better to own 10 crowbars then one pump action shot to make sure all mob members have a weapon.

Below is a few screen grabs of my equipment, so that you can see what I mean by owning a lot of stuff. I still have money in the bank but I try and spend any money I earn for my territories and by beating up on people to buy more weapons and better weapons. I also one a day buy a new car of some sorts to try and stay ahead of the curve.

 

 

Mobster, Heroes and Mafia Wars My now SUPER addiction

Ok so now I am lvl 26 in mobster on myspace I have upward of 100 friends and a ton of cash banked. I am sitting around waiting for more stamina and energy all the time and although I LOVE MOBSTER I don’t have anything to do in between. So I start looking around and due to my great new mobster friends I have been invited over and over again to mafia wars. This plug in is another awesome one. Want to know why, because it is EXACTLY like mobster, so if you had started mobster and did not really known what the hell you were doing this is great, gives you a fresh start so you don’t go wasting up those Godfather points and all. As for the whole Heroes thing well it rocks. Again because the setup is exactly like Mobster except now it is swords and spells and owning kingdoms. Myspace Mobster How To Get A Bigger Mob

Ok so last week I wrote about my addiction to this silly plug in. Now this week I will give you some insight on how to grow your mob. First things first I am going to give you a link to my personal myspace http://www.myspace.com/jacquibest next you need to just add me as a friend. After that I will send the mobster invite and add you to my Mobster Category under my friends. The category is all of my mob friends, you can add all of these people to your mob, some are easy with a simple add and some are using that silly CAPTCHA, either way all are using Mobster and will be more than happy to join your mob. Now here is the key to getting a huge gang going a lot of my mobsters keep a Mobster friend category as well. You can then go in to all of their mobster categories and add all of those people. There is a ton of new “groups” popping up on myspace for Mobster, but I have found they are not as good as the method listed above, I belong to a few of them and I haven’t seen many invite because of it. Also I like the idea of the whole mob being intertwined with each other kind of helps give you that MOBSTER feeling. An example of this would be one of my mob pals was having a problem with another guy, he posted a bulletin about that problem and we all whacked the guy! MySpace Retro Graphics Collection

Ok we all have our favorites when it comes to the kind of graphics we put on our myspace. My personal favorite is the “retro” 50’s type graphics. I have a ton of them and I am going to share them all with you guys. I have invested a ton of time into getting all of them. Hours of surfing pop up heavy websites. And even more hours of going through VERY poorly tagged photos. Anyway, I will continue to add more as I get them but for now here is what I have. So on with the graphics.

There is something like thirty five graphics here. All you need to do is click on the thumbnail and that will take you to a full size image. After that you can right click on the picture and save as. Please dont link directly to the photos on here, it will be likely that it will not work for long becuase it will suck too much bandwidth. If you need a good image hosting area, myspace does a good job of hosting thier own. I’m A Myspace Mobster Addict

Ok, so you know I am a total myspace junkie. Yeah, Yeah,Yeah, I know.. a  little lame.. but so what. Anyway I am loving some of the new “game” plug-ins they are allowing us to have. I use flixster and love all the movie trivia. I also really dig the whole own your friends thing. But up until now they were just a cool little thing, that if I logged into myspace I would maybe check on them and do some trivia, or maybe buy a friend or 2. Then along came Mobster! I have been logging into myspace only to check on this. I will be sitting on one of my online games(Everquest, Lord Of The Rings Online, World Of Warcraft) on the main machine and have Mobster loaded on the other. I keep clicking the refresh as my stamina and energy go up, just so I can pull another job. I keep looking at my health and anytime it goes down I look at who attacked me and then go punch them in the face. I am totally out of control on a silly myspace plug in. To give you an idea of how much, it was down yesterday and I was irritated.
