Ok so here is the deal I spend a lot of my time watching youtube videos of people playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero. The one trend that I have seen is that all these videos seem to be of people who are awesome at it, but what about us regular folks that are playing for the sheer fun of the game. That is why I wanted to make this video of me and my kids playing.
So to set the scene this is me, my 2 sons and my soon to be brother in law. My sister is the camera “person” and isn’t happy about it either.. She totally didn’t want to have to film us. We have been playing for about 3 hours now when we decide to get the camera out. I wanted to thank my kids and Andy for letting me film them and then put our silly asses on the internet, Read more
Viacom are you kidding me?

So today, like usually I open up my browser and my little iGoogle comes up. On my iGoogle I have a foxnews.com plug-in. Anyway, that really isn’t t that important. So I see some obnoxious headline that reads along the lines of “Viacom to know all users of youtube”. Now this strikes a cord with me. I am thinking.. wtf? Ok lemme read this nonsense. So I click on the article and I start to read how Viacom has sued google(youtube) for 2 different things. One is that the want the source for youtube.. yeah right.. that isn’t total trade secret type stuff. They probably only want it so that they can steal it and put up a sight selling their stuff. It doesn’t really matter though cause they lost that part. The second part is the biggie… they are now to be supplied with 5TB drives worth of our personal information. The judge.. who IMHO has his head in his rear obviously doesn’t understand the HUGE difference between having someone IP address.. and having their REAL address. This is what he based his decision on, that since other you-tubers can see our ip, then we have no right to “expect” privacy. Obviously no geeks in his family to explain that just because the word address is in IP address doesn’t mean it is a PHYSICAL address. Now what is the reason Viacom has their panties in a wad? Oh really simply stuff here.. it is because we all want to watch snippets of South Park.. sigh.. I mean really do they need to keep who killed Kenny under lock and key?
