So one night about 6 months ago my husband and son walk into the house with this game for the XBOX 360. When I see it I am no more excited about it, then I get about any other Xbox game out there. I am not a fan of console type games. That is not to say I havent had a few I liked, because I have. I toally loved the first Lord Of The Rings game.. lots of puzzles and an all around good time. I also really liked Jade Empire and Dreamfall, but for the most part it really is not my bag. So they get it out of the box and get the nice wireless guitar all put together and start up the game. I am sitting in the room listening to the cling clang of missed notes and wondering why would they continue this torture. As the night continued on though, they continued to get better and better, until they could actually start playing the songs all the way through. The truth be told though if I ever have to listen to slow ride again I might have to blow my brains out. As the days go on, they are having a blast, and have even gotten thier 2 uncles to join in on the fun. Now picture this I have 3 grown men and 2 teenage boys all wanting the one guitar. I was starting to get curious, and maybe think this could be cool. So with in the week while all the big guys were away I started tinkering with it. And other then the horrible hand cramps I seem to get from it, I loved it. It is relaxing and not relaxing all at that same time. It is fun to play, it is fun to watch others play. We have since gotten another guitar and spend alot of time doing the multiplayer.. mom on bass.. kinda play. I found it a great way to bond with my boys and a ton fun to be had by the whole family.
A Mom’s Story of Guitar Hero 3

I totally AGREE!!!! When I started to see Guitar Hero in the stores I always thought it would be something that I would like, since I am a HUGE music fan, and probably secretly always wanted to be a ROCK STAR. But since I was in my 30′s and had never really played console games but maybe some Mario Brothers back in the day I was a little hesitant. Then my older Brother got one. So I went to his house to jam. LOVED IT!! So I got one and a PS2 to play it on. I didnt go big on the machine since I do not really play too much. But then I found myself waiting for release dates of #2, #3, 80′s.. then the Unlitmate Rock Band. I now have all of the games. My 3yr old, who cant play, but will sit beside me, guitar not on but he doesnt know, and will say “Let’s Rock Out Mommy!”, and we do!! All my neices and nephews, brothers, friends all want me to bring my gear when I come visit. It really gets the whole family involved. Two guitar players, someone on the drums, a lead singer along with our loving familes as adoring fans ot cheer us on makes for an awesome time. Great topic!! Great Game!! Thanks for letting me share!!! Good stuff!
