I would have to say that on a daily basis I get about 50 emails asking different questions about MySpace Mobster. A lot of the time these are the same question so I wanted to make a post to point people too and also so people have a place to post their questions.
Q. How do I grow my mob?
A. There is a lot of answers to this question but the easiest way I have found to cause some growth is to invite people to your mob with a lot of mobsters already, they will usually have a Myspace Friends Category that they will add you too. Once in that category you can see all the friends they have that also play mobster and are more than likely looking for more friend invites.
Q. Do I have to have them be my friend in order to add them to my mob?
A. YES! This can be circumvented with some “shady” software but this is not the intention of MySpace or Mobsters and can be cause for banning on MySpace. Your best bets is just add the friends, play Mobsters with them, and enjoy all the new people you are meeting. I was a hard core REAL LIFE friends only before Mobsters with having like 30 real friends and 20 “star” type friends, I am loving all my new pals and anyone who annoys me I just delete them.
Q. Why am I losing fight all the time?
A. You have to remember that your Mob strength is based on your level times five. So let’s take me for example I am level 35 so 35×5=175, so I am only using 175 of my mobsters when I actually fight. That means I can have 1 gun, 1 body armor, 1 Vehicle for each of the 175 people it counts. So if I go and look at my equipment screen this is what you will see.
This allows me to be at full strength when I am attacked, if I didn’t have a weapon, body armor, and vehicle for each person it counted that mobster would fight with their fists. It is also good to remember that when you attack you are getting a higher “dice roll” and get preferred treatment by the mobster app in the fight for being the aggressor.
Q. How are people getting over 500 Mobsters?
A. Ok I know I went over this in another post, that maybe it was a cheat, but it isn’t which was clarified but a great commenter. Deal is Mobster will only ever allow you to use 500 mobsters RIGHT NOW. You can have as many as you like but owning over 500 guns, cars and such does you no good. So yes you mob can be over 500 but you can never bring more then 500 to a fight which begs the question is level 100 the max mobster level?
Q. What is the most important stat to increase?
A. To me this is completely subjective. I have a ton of friends that like to increase their stamina so they can fight the hell outta people, and me I like increasing my energy so I can get about 2 million an hour. If someone has some better ideas of what stats are important and what ones are not let me know.
Q. How do I get more Godfather Points?
A. You can buy them with Paypal, or you can sign up for silly surveys, or you can earn a few here and there by reaching certain achievements with you Mob. I have not found it important to have the Godfather points, but it is the way the guy who wrote Mobster makes money off of us, so it can’t hurt to go and fill out some of the free ones.

just want to say. the are cheats for mobster. there are people on the game with billions or even millions of dollars and they just joined like a couple days ago. there is no possible way that can happen. like for ex. theres this one guy. he has billions in the bank and he hasnt even joined for a whole day. so how did he start off with all that money. he also is like at level 2.
About the levels. As everyone knows Tucal and others who put themselves on the hitlist are beyond level 100. they have tanks for vehicles. check out their pages.
I’m a level 48 and it is very important to add more health. If you don’t want to be iced I would say increase your health to 200 before you hit level 35. Those players are able to do 30-40 points of damage to a person so that means you should go into the hospital at around 45 health points left. The stats are good for racking up defense points. Most people have told me that defense points are good too in case you make someone mad enough you wind up on the hitlist. It will help you when you aren’t able to fight back.

Firs to Travis, if someone is only a member for mobsters and has all that stuff money etc. Its because they paid mad money for it. Godfatehr points can be bought One member paid over $1000 on day one and went form lvl 1 to level320 he is untouchable. Thus it stands to reason that if you buy godfather points you have access to alot of mob cash as well seeing as how you can buy mob money via the godfather.
The best stats to raise are energy, health and stamina. The attack stat and defense stat do not benefit your character enough to waste the experience skill points on them.

While most of what you said is certainly valid and true I have two corrections to make. There is one way and one way only to be able to use over 500 mobsters… hired guns. In the beginning we all wondered what they were for, but once you get to level 100 you find out. If you have a hired gun you get to use them over and beyond the max of 500 mobsters. There is one guy R I X who had like 830 in his mob because he bought points lots of them and put them to hired guns. they are just like a real mobster you have to arm them and give them a car and armor.
The value of health is not as obvious either at lower levels unless you are a self hitter and it helps you stay alive longer if you get a serious round of attacks. However, once again above level 100 it really comes into play. The damage points are determined based on the mobster in the fight with the lowest health number. The exp points you get from a fight you win is roughly 1/3 of the damage you deal. Up here there are several self hitters with health of around 1000, When you get 2 mobsters with health like that the damage from the fight is through the roof. I have heard and seen posts of 95 exp from a fight. thats almost 300 damage, and when more exp points are earned from a fight you level with fewer fights, and over level 100 the fightlist is pretty slim so lots of exp points is an important thing. Usually i have 6 or 7 on my fight list at any time sometimes less and usually at least half if not all of them are in my mob. So it’s either sit back and wait to be attacked and just heal myself or find someone i know has high health like me and attack them for more exp points than the 9 or 10 I would get from someone with health around like 200.

But I am applying all I have learned from that mob to my low level one and its gonna prob end up being my mob of choice.

I was wondering, I have 500 mobster, and 245 guns…why when I fight it says I only used 120 guns? Why not all of them?

I have one comment, and one question -
Comment (really more of a reiteration as double a rika already covered it) - You CAN fight with over 500 Members. You must be over level 100 though, and have some hired guns. You can get hired guns from the Godfather. Once you get to level 100, you are topped out with 500 members (5 x 100 = 500). However, if you can use your additional hired guns. I, for example, am at level 113 and have 13 hired guns. So I fight with 513 members.
Question - Does your mobster use different weapons during an attack vs a defense? Meaning, if you have 500 Guided Missile Launchers and 500 Miniguns, will I automatically use the miniguns over the missile launchers when defending due to the miniguns having a better defense number?
Actually, you can use more than 500 weapons. How, I’m not sure, but I’ve definitely fought mobs with something like 504 weapons in the same category (e.g. 504 S.W.A.T. APCs.)
