So I was sitting around, and looking through myspace, trying to find some old Everquest friends. When it realized that searching down some of the old guilds would be fun and maybe pay them a little tribute. My first pick is Drunkards Of Norrath. Read more

EverQuest Blacksmithing and Other Trade Skill Knowledge

June 16, 2008 by Jacqui Best · 1 Comment

I totally dig the trades in EverQuest. I always have, even back when you ad no idea what you were combining. Being a smith has always been my calling but I have over 200 in all the skills. I love most of the changes and updates they have made over the years to the system, which has made it more robust and also offer some really killer gear. I am a regular visitor to eqtraders.com, and enjoy reading their forums. Read more

The progression of a Wizard to a Beastlord In Everquest

June 16, 2008 by Jacqui Best · Leave a Comment

So I was taking a look at my mains creation date, and although I am not from beta or even from Ever Quest’s original release date, my characters are old. So my first character was a Dark Elf Wizard, created in February of 2002. Jacqui (yes, I used my REAL name as my character name I didn’t know what I was doing) died with on a daily basis, and could not find groups. Read more

Log Me In, I totally love it!

So for a few weeks now I have been going through and looking for a solution for getting into customers machines. I have tried a multitude of options, from using Microsoft’s Remote Desktop to using WebEx. So let go through them, WebEx was the first guy I tried. It was very difficult to navigate their site and actually find the right product, which should have been the first sign to me that it was not going to be an easy product to use. Read more

The Re-introduction of FAT32 and USB Storage

June 13, 2008 by Jacqui Best · Leave a Comment

So my main source of income is working as software support for a local data recovery company. I have been doing this type of work on and off for 15 years. Anyway that aside I would that I had pretty much watched the death of FAT32, which I was more than happy to watch.  With that being said I have noticed in the past six to seven months huge increase in the volume of customers that have a FAT32 drive they need recovery on. Now this becomes an issue for multitude of reasons. First and foremost would be the sheer lack of software out there that supports this recovery type. Second would be that it is very old, unused technology for a reason. It is not as stable as NTFS, and it has no security at the file level. Read more

The Everquest Comeback

June 12, 2008 by Jacqui Best · 1 Comment

So the other day I logged into good ol’ Everquest after about a 3 year break. What was awsome is that I was totally confused, in the good way. I wasn’t being told by every NPC walking by what to do and how to do it. I was totally baffled by even taking a look in my bank. The more I seemed to play and look around the more I just wanted to keep in playing. What was unfortunate for me is that I always pay for my Station account so that I can have access to Vanguard and Everquest 2 if I want to mess around in them. Anyway Everquest is offering a cool 2 months free, plus a full set of the Defiant armor that rocks.. all if you will come back and give Everquest a chance again. What is really awsome about it is TONS of old school Everquest players are coming back. I am having a ton of fun everynight grouping up with my cleric in Loping Planes. So anyway if you are from Everquest or ever thought of playing NOW is the time.
